Cover Reveal!

Once Upon A Roadtrip - Front Cover

ย  ย Well, here it is! Almost exact to what I’d originally envisioned. Multitudes of thanks to Danielle Barnum Photography and Revalis Designs for their flexibility in giving me EXACTLY what I asked for…and then giving me something that worked better. >.<

Long story short, I’d initially requested the model be walking down the center line while holding her arms out at her sides as though she were walking a tightrope. When I got what I asked for, the hubby oh-so-delicately pointed out she looked like she was either trying to pass a sobriety test, or whimsically playing “airplane” on a highway. (Bolstering his argument, he added sound effects worthy of one of our preschoolers.)

The publisher agreed with him.

I’m not at all disappointed with how things turned out. ^_^ But what do YOU think? Feel free to give my comments option a test drive.

  1. It looks very good, Angela. I like it. I remember the very day you had the idea for the cover. I was there!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Nice to see it become a reality.

    1. Thank you, Ingrid! ๐Ÿ˜€

I remember that! You were the very first person I told about the idea, as you happened to sitting with me at the M&M conference when I had the epiphany. Bless you for not looking at me odd when I got all wild-eyed and and slapped the table for no readily apparent reason. XD

    1. Thanks so much, Aidee!
I’m glad the visual conveys the intended tone of the book. Finding a cover representation reminds me a bit of compressing the ‘big idea’ of a story down into a single sentence. >.< I don't think I'll be accused of false advertising, at least. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Angela,
I love the cover. I am sorry I didn’t see it on “Reveal Day” but so glad I saw it tonight!
Isn’t it funny how you think you know exactly what you want only to discover that the professionals actually know better. Who would have thought it? ๐Ÿ™‚

I am so very excited for you!

    Stephanie

p.s. Please, say hello to that super-hero husband of yours for me!

    1. Hey Stephanie!

I’m delighted you took the time to comment, regardless of the day. ^_^ And you’re absolutely right. I’ve rapidly learned it’s better to staff your weaknesses with honed talent rather than attempting to be a mediocre Jill-of-all-trades. ;P

And thank you for your excitement–it means a lot to me. ^_^

p.s. Super Hubby says “Hi!” ๐Ÿ˜‰
